Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry or equivalent major and 5 years of progressive post-degree experience in business development/sales for the pharmaceutical sciences industry, or MSc in chemistry with 2 years of relevant experience. Must have business development experience in manufacturing of key intermediates, CDMO projects, and APIs.

Duties:
Design reaction schemes to prepare assigned targets; Run reactions and optimize synthetic steps to improve reaction yield and isolation methods; Purify crude products by precipitation, crystallization or distillation methods; Establish in-process controls to result robust chemical processes; Apply DoE and QbD methods for process optimization; Apply PAT tools to design, analyze and control manufacturing processes; Identify critical process parameters which effect critical quality attributes.
M-F 40 hrs/week.

 

· BS preferred in a scientific discipline e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.

 

Required Experience:

· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience performing pharmaceutical GMP quality assurance responsibilities. Additional previous development or production experience will be a great plus.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Working knowledge and understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices with 21 CFR Part 210 & 211 and ICH Q7 Guidance.
• Proven ability to revise and update SOP's and policies to comply with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain document control and training programs.
• Capable of reviewing quality system related records e.g., deviations, change control, CAPAs, incidents and OOS investigations.
• Support both internal and external inspections/audits.
• Provide quality support to ensure regulatory compliance with the GMP production and analytical labs, vendor qualification, facilitating necessary equipment/instrument qualification and validation activities.
• Collaborate with other QA team members and cross-functional stakeholders to provide input to support GMP activities/projects.
• Perform quality review of material and product disposition documents, batch production related records, analytical/QC related testing records, protocols and reports.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and implement changes for improvement.
• Perform other activities as assigned by the QA head.

• Responding to customer and prospect queries in a professional and friendly manner (typically chemists from pharmaceutical companies), including but not limited to inquiries of the catalog products and customer synthesis chemicals. Providing quotations on a timely basis on our real-time database and communication with internal chemists.
• Entering purchase orders into system to trigger shipping or project initiation. Update the customer about project status and delivery timeline.
• Work collaboratively with other departments such as shipping, QC, etc. May need to temporarily support shipping team preparing shipping labels, packing, etc.
• Ultimately, you should be able to establish a productive, professional relationship with customers to promote the company’s business and ensure smooth sales team operations.
