All of us at PharmaBlock USA are very proud of the recent opening of our new 30,000-square-foot cGMP-compliant research and development laboratory in West Chester, Pennsylvania. With state-of-the-art equipment and a team of experienced and innovative chemists who love what they do, we are a US-based CDMO partner, from preclinical research and development through manufacturing of drug substances for Phase 1 and 2 clinical trials.

The PharmaBlock USA story
The PharmaBlock USA story goes back to 2012, when our parent company, PharmaBlock, established a West Coast customer service center representing its catalog of more than 200,000 building blocks. In 2017, PharmaBlock USA established its US headquarters in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, suburbs. The site included a distribution center for building blocks and a research and development facility with synthetic and analytical labs. In 2023, PharmaBlock USA opened a second facility in West Chester, PA, to partner with clients on accelerating drug development.
PharmaBlock USA built our culture around speed, quality, and safety, working with North American clients on preclinical APIs and intermediaries. Our experienced and dedicated team established our reputation for transparent communication, responsiveness, and proactively solving challenges through effective collaboration.
Building upon people and culture
PharmaBlock has a clear vision to help create a more sustainable Pharmaceutical supply chain through innovative chemistry and technology. The Pharmablock USA leadership team prioritizes creating an inclusive and collaborative culture where colleagues trust that they have ownership in both the business outputs and their roles. By clearly communicating our company’s vision, we ensure that our colleagues understand their purpose and have a sense of meaning in what they do. The new state-of-the-art facility includes three GMP kilo labs, synthetic labs, flow chemistry, and micropacked bed hydrogenation. Our quality system meets cGMP compliance requirements and is registered with FDA. The combination of people, culture, facilities, and quality system makes the PharmaBlock USA team a dependable partner for pharmaceutical companies in accelerating drug development and bringing medicine to patients.
US-based with global resources
With our management team in West Chester, Pennsylvania, PharmaBlock USA is an entirely US-based operation. However, we can also draw upon the resources of PharmaBlock Group and their experience working with almost all of the top-20 pharmaceutical companies and hundreds of small and medium sized companies. This relationship with PharmaBlock China also builds increased resilience into our supply chain and can offer cost-advantageous opportunities for our clients.
As part of our ongoing commitment to our North American partners, we’re now building a pilot plant at our West Chester location. This will make us a fully-integrated CDMO, from R&D to commercialization.
